Drone Photography Competition 2024 Winner

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who took part in our Coverdrone Drone Photography Competition, in honour of World Photography Day 2024.

From breath-taking sunsets in the Scottish Highlands to captivating glacial formations in Iceland, you perfectly captured the beauty of our world through your own unique lens.

Here we take a look at some of the amazing drone images that just narrowly missed out on the top spot!

But sadly, there could only be one winner!

Congratulations to Randunu Yasaranga who has won £250 worth of Amazon Gift Cards with this fairytale capture of Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany.

Our Marketing Team will DM you on Instagram later today to arrange delivery of your prize. Well done!

What is World Photography Day?

World Photography Day, celebrated on August 19th each year, marks the invention of the daguerreotype in 1837, an early photographic process invented by French artist and chemist Louis Daguerre. This day honours the art, craft, and history of photography, encouraging photographers worldwide to share their work, explore new techniques, and celebrate the power of photography to capture moments and tell stories.

Want to feature on our Instagram page?

Whilst the competition has now ended, you can still have your drone photo or video featured as our #picoftheday on Instagram. Simply direct message us @coverdrone, use the hashtag #coverdrone or tag @coverdrone into your footage.
