What a year is has been for drone photography! As the year draws to a close and we enter the final month of 2021, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share with you ten of our favourite Instagram pictures that featured as the #picoftheday on our Coverdrone Instagram feed this year.
We love seeing all the incredible photos and videos taken by drone operators from all around the world, and of course, our own clients! As mentioned previously, we have an Instagram page where we share regularly our chosen #picoftheday. It can be inspiring to other drone operators to see a variety of drone photography by following our Instagram @Coverdrone (Follow us if you haven’t already!).
Thank you to everyone for tagging us @coverdrone and using the #coverdrone to take part in the #picoftheday!
Coverdrone really appreciate the skill and creativity drone pilots have to capture the most picturesque shots of the Earth’s nature. Below, we share with you just some of the fantastic pictures that were reposted and featured on our Instagram this year!
The photographs featured below are in no particular order…

Gerard Morgan (@gm_dronesuk) began flying his drone as a hobby and this soon evolved into his own business as a GVC OFQUAL CAA registered drone operator. On Gerard’s Instagram feed you can see his aerial shots and experiences at drone related events, such as DroneX in October 2021! (Picture taken at Comeston Lakes Country Park, UK.)
This photograph was taken at Mermaid Rock, Freshwater Bay in the Isle of Wight and really gave us Mediterranean vibes! Check out @iowightdrone to see the Isle Of Wight at an aerial perspective!

Capturing the colours of fall sunsets is drone pilot @laurenguarnerifilms. This photo in particular caught our eye taken in Quebec, Canada. We especially love the warming autumnal orange, red and brown hues. On Lauren’s Instagram feed she features her work, aerial photography, and videography!
We love a cityscape aerial drone photo! Sydney based content creator and photographer @remy.toli‘s picture here is of the famous Sydney Opera House.
For all things travel, check out @iamchrisborg on Instagram! Chris is a digital creator who travels across Europe and beyond photographing well known destinations such as Croatia, Turkey and Austria. Chris’ drone photographs sure provide us with a feeling of wanderlust! (Photograph taken in Malta).
